Private Lessons at Macquarie Ice Rink

Private lessons are a great way to get some basic skating skills behind you, or as an addition to your group lessons. Here at MIR, we have a team of professional coaches who specialise in teaching from beginners up to our elite international skaters.

Lessons times are organised between yourself and the coach you are in contact with. Please check the session timetable to get a general idea of our sessions. Different sessions incur different entry fees and restrictions in addition to your coaching fee that is paid directly to the coach. Your coach should inform you of these, but you may also contact the rink for more information about different sessions times.

By entering the rink, you agree to abide by the Terms and Conditions set forth by the rink.

All private lesson bookings and inquiries can be made by clicking on your preferred coach at the bottom of this page.
The coaches work independently of the ice rink, and as such your inquiry will be sent directly to the coach of your choosing and they will contact you directly.
Many of our coaches have limited availability so we are unable to guarantee lesson times.
Please click on the photo of the coach you wish to send an inquiry to, however we ask that you please only send an inquiry with one (1) coach at a time.
In your inquiry, please state what days you are available to come in for lessons for further discussion with the coach.
The coaches set their own fees. The cost of a private lesson differs with each coach. The price per half hour is not dependent on coach level, experience or expertise. If you want assistance in choosing the right coach for you then please provide additional information in the lesson enquiry.
Rink entry is paid separately to the cashier.
Please be advised that if you have confirmed a lesson booking with the coach, you may be charged a cancellation fee if 24 hours cancellation notice is not given.
Our coaches specialise in many areas from working with children, adults, beginners, through to elite level athletes. It is important to choose a coach that suits your personality and needs.
Coaches are certified through the Australian Professional Skater’s Association (APSA) accreditation program.
